Highly effective active ingredient: Diflubenzuron.
Also effective against: viviparous and oviparous gill flukes, skin flukes, (anchor worms are not worms, but crustaceans!).
No known side effects in fish.
Not to be used simultaneously with water conditioners, active carbon, salt and UV.

JBL Aradol – a new combination remedy against worms and carp lice.

With the new active component Diflubenzuron, JBL has succeeded in launching a highly effective combination remedy which successfully combats worm-like parasites as well as carp lice and anchor worms (crustaceans)! Unlike previous active components, the new JBL Aradol does not lead to cloudy water or loss of oxygen. There are also no known side effects for fish. It has also been proved to work effectively against the following parasites: viviparous/oviparous gill worms, skin flukes, carp lice (Argulus), anchor worms (Lernaea = crustaceans!), Trichodina and more. JBL Aradol is suitable for freshwater and saltwater, however it should not be used in temperatures below 18°C.

Can I use over-the-counter medications for ornamental fish in fish that will be used for human consumption later ?

No. As a rule, over-the-counter medications for ornamental fish may only be used in fish that are not bred for human consumption.

Can I use JBL Aradol if I have shrimp in my tank?

Can I use JBL Aradol if I have shrimp in my tank?
JBL Aradol is not suited for shrimp. This is due to the fact that the active ingredient is a so-called chitin synthesis inhibitor, i.e. it inhibits shell formation in all crustacean-like animals (and others which also use chitin as a component in their skin, such as some roundworms and/or flatworms). Corresponding information is included with the package insert.

Is JBL Aradol also effective against planarias?

JBL Aradol has no specific effect on planarias, although positive effects may occur occasionally. However, JBL Aradol should not be used against planarias in combination with shrimp, as this would require higher doses. We are not aware of any cases of sensitivity to JBL Aradol in freshwater snails.
