There’ll be beautiful images, insights behind the scenes, valuable hobby related tips and tricks and emotional moments from the myJBL world to be found soon in our posts and stories on Instagram. Follow us on @ jbl.de/en or https://www.instagram.com/jbl.de/ .

When is it going live? We’ve picked a great occasion. The JBL research team is setting off on the Indian Ocean Expedition on October 12, 2018. Under the hashtag #jblexpedition we’ll be reporting on this trip from the viewpoints of the 16 participants (4 from Team JBL and 12 experts and enthusiasts) and this will be the official channel opening.

In order to get the best possible results from this channel, both for you and for us, we’ll adapt its contents to reflect your preferences and wishes. We’d also like you to share your most popular posts from the community. Use the hashtags #jblde #myjbl #meinjbl to draw our attention to them.

So far we have planned the following content categories for you:

  • Stories giving the latest insights into the myJBL world at events, fairs and other activities
  • Stories giving a look behind the scenes at JBL’s production and logistics, but also the administrative work done by our colleagues at JBL
  • Posts with hobby related emotive pictures and videos
  • Posts about JBL expeditions
  • Posts with tips & tricks/knowledge
  • Posts with special content for the myJBL community

What took us so long?

Quite a few people have been asking us this, so here’s our answer. JBL has been on various social media channels for 8 years now. Some have come and gone, but the active and important channels have remained. Instagram has now made some changes that will allow us as a company to share valuable content and moments with you. Which channels do you share your hobby on? Let us know your favourite social media channel in the comments section.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.

JBL GmbH & Co. KG provides this service free of charge, and it is easy to activate or deactivate.
