JBL Roadshow 2022/23 - Online meets Offline extended

Would you like to get to know the JBL Online Marketing Team live? Would you like to see well-known influencers from the myJBL community in the focus of our reporting?

Then the new roadshow format of "Online meets Offline extended" is just right for you. This "JBL Roadshow" format was already in planning at the beginning of 2019, but unfortunately, our plans were thwarted by the pandemic. The videos of our field sales team filming their work on site at our specialist dealers and taking the community with them, which went down well on social media, were the first steps towards this.

The plan was to give you an insight into the day-to-day work of our company and to show the industry and the hobby from another side.

JBL Roadshow 2022/23 & ”Online meets Offline extended“

But what does this JBL roadshow have to do with Online meets Offline? We have decided to plan and hold the popular fan meeting once again in 2022 (more on this later). Following on from the success story of Online meets Offline as a fan meeting at the JBL on the JBL premises, the extended format will have a local component. In a kind of roadshow, the JBL online marketing team will travel through Germany and its neighbouring countries.

We’re going on a journey with the aim to creating good content. And we want to take you with us. We’ll not only let you look "behind the scenes,” giving you advance insights into the areas our work will be covering, we’ll also be visiting and acquainting you with influencers and shops worth seeing in your area.

We already have some locations in mind and on the agenda / map, but we’re always on the lookout for new locations for creating great videos about aquaristics, terraristics and ponds.

How can you help?

It's easy, just make some suggestions! Who would you like to see in the JBL videos on Youtube, TikTok and Instagram? What topic or location would you like us to create content about and feature on the myJBL blog? You can easily post your suggestions for people and places in the comments of this post. You can also nominate yourself and tell us why!

What will happen at the JBL Roadshow 2022/23?

During the day, we'll be in shops and public places to create content with new and popular products - as long as opening hours allow, of course. But outside opening hours and after work, we’re really looking forward to visiting members of the myJBL community. Our cooperation with the myJBL community has been very close and highly synchronised for many years. Now we’d like to go one step further and turn the cooperation into collaboration. Together for a great aquarium experience.

Outlook for the JBL Roadshow 2022/23

The roadshow won’t be a show truck parked at a certain location at a fixed time. It’s the JBL team carrying out its work at times we’ll announce beforehand and looking forward to meeting the myJBL community face to face. Swapping ideas, getting to know each other, or creating content together. We used to do this more, but we didn’t publicise it enough. That will change - I promise!

My team and I are eager to share our work with you in a no holds barred way and to allow you even more insights into the myJBL world. Last but not least, you can also expect new content formats in the coming weeks and months that will lead to much more insight behind the scenes at JBL. Be very curious! This much is certain, it won’t be what you’re expecting!

In preparation for this campaign, we launched a test at the end of 2021 and visited two interesting places. You will find the first posts about this on the myJBL blog in the next 2 weeks.

Influencers vs. viewers

This is a pleaser for viewers too, as you’ll be able to send us your topic requests and questions and make them a central part of our content.

Please feel free to express your wishes. Anyone can participate, not just the influencer or the shop in front of the camera. The team and I are open to all the upcoming project brings!

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.

JBL GmbH & Co. KG provides this service free of charge, and it is easy to activate or deactivate.
