Product information

The remote control included in the JBL LED SOLAR Natur allows you to dim the light gradually and to choose between three colour temperatures.
As soon as you have added the JBL LED SOLAR WiFi Control to your JBL LED SOLAR Natur (ideally in combination with JBL LED SOLAR Effect), a new world of control will open up to you:
With the help of the JBL LED SOLAR WiFi Control you can load the biotope data from the Pantanal (Southeast Brazil) or from the region of the East African Rift Valley lakes (Malawi and Tanganyika). Your LEDs will then emulate the local climatic situations according to the seasons (incl. dry and wet seasons, lightning storms and cloudiness). For a goldfish aquarium the light will especially highlight the beautiful colours and for a community aquarium a light can be set to show a tropical day with 10 h of sun, the right light for plants and vibrant colours for the fish. Lightning storms and cloudiness are created by a random generator. There is a light programme for fans of heavily planted aquariums (aquascaping) which resembles the programme for community aquariums but with a higher light intensity.
For every programme you can select the acclimatisation mode at the beginning to make it easier for your plants to adapt from the present lighting with fluorescent tubes to the significantly brighter light of the LEDs, without any problems. You can, of course, select each programme without acclimatisation.
In a manual mode, you can also set your own lighting situations.
For all the programmes mentioned here there are 2 LED lamp types available for you: 1.) JBL LED SOLAR Natur and 2.) JBL LED SOLAR Effect. If you only run the JBL LED SOLAR Natur with the JBL LED SOLAR WiFi Control, but without the JBL LED SOLAR Effect, you can use all functions, such as lightning storms, cloudiness as well as sunrise or sunset, but without colour effects!

Technical Data

Why doesn't the LED switch off immediately in operation with the JBL SolarControl WiFi?

Whether for theme aquariums or in manual mode, whether for a lunch break or at sunrise or sunset, the LEDs always dim down slowly. This always provides your fish and plants with a natural light profile and also protects your LEDs and increases their lifetime.

Why does the Android App need permission to access your location?

Location sharing is only required for displaying the available networks and can be deactivated after adding the controller or connecting to the home network. Since the WiFi networks available in the vicinity make it possible to calculate one's own position (WLAN-based positioning), the user must be informed and agree to this in accordance with Google guidelines. The app does not retrieve GPS data.

Can I regulate two LED SOLAR NATUR or two LED SOLAR EFFECT with one controller unit?

No, this is not possible. The cable switch only offers space for one JBL LED SOLAR NATUR and one EFFECT.

Does the "lunch break" extend the entire daily cycle?

You have the option of setting an additional lunch break for all theme aquariums. But this lunch break does not extend the preset day with 10 hours of lighting. It only switches off the light for the set time. This mode is advisable if you wish to reduce the overall lighting duration for a short time due to problems (e.g. algae). We do not recommend you use this mode in continuous operation, as nature as a model provides sufficient balance with adjusted brightness levels. For aquariums that have been converted to the JBL LED SOLAR technology use the special acclimatisation mode instead of the lunch break, to get the plants used to it.

Can I increase the lighting duration for theme aquariums?

The theme aquariums have a fixed lighting duration of 10 hours per day. You can change the preset, natural start time and thus set your personal aquarium day. This means you have enough time, adapted to your daily routine, to observe the fish. JBL does not recommend extending the lighting duration to more than 10 hours. This does not correspond to the natural weather data (daily average), nor is it beneficial for your aquarium and the plants. If you still wish to have more than 10 hours of lighting, you can set up your desired day yourself in manual mode.
