New pond brochure from JBL: Instructions for solving algae problems with guarantee

17.6.2010

To mark the launch of the new JBL 1-2-3 algae-free pond concept, JBL scientists are publishing a 23-page brochure, giving pond owners crystal clear instructions on how the JBL 1-2-3 algae-free concept works and why owners' previous attempts to rid their ponds of algae were usually unsuccessful. The individual steps are clearly shown in photos of the actual stages making up the concept: In the first step, the addition of JBL StabiloPond KH re-stabilises the mineral content of the pond water, which is often over-softened by rainwater. This is a vital step before the algae can be actively combated in step 2. Since many pond owners only carry out Step 2 to combat the algae, they can never enjoy long-term success. As the algae dies, the nutrients absorbed in their tissue (including phosphates) are released back into the water and are then fully accessible as a nutrient to the next generation of algae. Therefore Step 3, which eliminates the nutrients, is the logical conclusion to the JBL 3-step concept. At the end of the folder, a flip chart of the seasons showing the sequence of the treatment throughout the year rounds off the contents of this informative brochure.
