Happy Birthday – The myJBL blog is one year old

One year ago we posted our first blog article – and a new era began. We started taking relevant topics from the fields aquarium, terrarium and pond and presenting them in a way that would support your hobby.

But how do we choose these topics? They are inspired by our expeditions all around the world, your requests to our customer service, the JBL Facebook page and your blog comments, all of which our team, consisting of the online marketing and the JBL research & development, goes through to compile clear explanations and topics for you, starting with your most frequent questions.

Of course we can’t leave out exclusive insights into our production, our research projects or our JBL Expedition. With 141 blogs in 365 days we have reached more than a million readers – a real success for the first year!

Also for our next “blog year“ we have set ourselves some ambitious goals. Just to give you some idea of these we have some insights into the product development and some exclusive introductions to new products, even before they reach the market. One special aim is to increase our video presence. And Mr Koi has joined our team. He is going to broaden our koi horizons for us.

Finally we would like to thank you in particular for your loyalty and your commitment in reading our blog. Do take the opportunity to write your questions and requests below the relevant posts. Our editorial team is happy to fulfil your requirements.

Now you have read this post till the end, why not leave us your greetings and/or questions in the comments? Anyone who leaves an answer for us by August 30, 2016, will stand a chance of winning the draw for a shopping voucher with a value of 150 €.

About me: Seit Teenagerzeiten mit Aquarien in Kontakt.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.

JBL GmbH & Co. KG provides this service free of charge, and it is easy to activate or deactivate.
