JBL took the first heat wave as an opportunity to test the JBL Cooler at high room temperature.
The test conditions: Aquarium with the dimensions 60 x 30 x 40 cm. Volume net: 63.4 l. Room temperature: 28.4 – 31.4 °C; relative humidity: 52 – 61 %.
The results are quite impressive: Within 10 hours the temperature drops by 4.5 °C at a nearly constant room temperature.
With continuous operation throughout the night a decrease of temperature of about 5.8 °C is achievable within 24 hours. 2.54 l of water evaporate within 24 hours.
This result clearly shows that aquariums can be cooled effectively by using the cold resulting from evaporation. More information can be found under the following link: http://www.jbl.de/de/aquaristik-suesswasser-produkte/detail/5945/jbl-cooler#download
