As plantas aquáticas são muito úteis para todos os aquários, pois extraem nutrientes à água e atuam ativamente contra as algas.

Quando se colocam plantas aquáticas novas, demora muito tempo a formarem raízes tão fortes de forma a estarem bem ancoradas no solo. Com JBL PlantStart, o tempo de enraizamento é reduzido, dando início ao crescimento das plantas num curto período de tempo.
A mistura especial de bactérias (cultura mista) torna mais fácil para as plantas absorver os nutrientes e oligoelementos. O ferro III precipitado é, p. ex., transformado em ferro II acessível para as plantas.

Em testes, foi comprovada mais uma vantagem do JBL PlantStart: as bactérias formam rapidamente uma colonização primária do substrato e decompõem a matéria orgânica. Desta forma, um substrato recém-introduzido torna-se um filtro adicional funcional num período de tempo extremamente curto. Através do biofilme resultante, JBL ProScape PlantStart reduz a colonização com algas azuis-esverdeadas (cianobactérias).

Can you add the substrate activator for aquariums afterwards?

Unfortunately this is not possible. The granulate with the bacterial cultures must be evenly distributed under the substrate and covered with a top layer of gravel, sand or soil. If you wish to add bacteria to the substrate at a later date, for example because the cultures have been damaged by heavy cleaning, you can inject JBL Denitrol with a syringe.
