The choice of lighting is paramount when setting up a terrarium. Once you have selected lamps suitable for your terrarium dwellers, the next question is how to attach them safely and correctly.
In “Essentials/Terrarium” we tell you which lamps are suitable for your terrarium: Terrarium .
Installing the lamp always requires a lamp socket for its power supply and adjustment. In older terrariums the fittings for fluorescent tubes are often permanently installed. Here you only need to snap the tubes into place. Modern terrariums are equipped with so-called spotlights or energy-saving spot lamps. These have the advantage that the light can be directed as required instead of evenly illuminating the whole area. With the installation kits JBL TempSet basic , JBL TempSet angle and JBL TempSet angle+connect you can safely install energy-saving and incandescent lamps, halogen, neodymium and UV spotlights (only in a vertical position) where ever you like. The installation is very simple thanks to its pre-assembled mounting plate, and the enclosed template and screws. For your safety the socket is made of a dedicated high-tech material with heat resistance up to 270 °C.
