FAQ
Why are there several T5 adapters in the package?

While you may have thought that all 24 W T5 tubes have the same length, there are in fact many different lengths with the same wattage on the market. That's why we've included two different adapters to facilitate a safe and easy installation. In case of an unsuccessful installation attempt, please try an alternative adapter from the box.

What does “retrofit“ mean?

Retrofit refers to the option of converting conventional T5/T8 tubes to the JBL LED SOLAR system. You can, without having to remove the aquarium cover or make any structural changes, simply "plug" the new LED into the old tube sockets for operation. Many cat owners are unable to operate an "open" aquarium and therefore need an aquarium cover. The aquarium surroundings also sometimes prevent an open installation. In such cases the retrofit installation is ideal.

Which LED length fits my aquarium?

You will find a tabular overview on the packaging of every LED. This will tell you which LED SOLAR fits your aquarium. There are two application scenarios for this.
1. You replace an existing T5/T8 tube to install the LED as a retrofit. In this case please refer to the relevant column. Most aquarium owners prefer the shorter model because of the small distances left and right of the tube socket in the aquarium cover. You can either select according to the length of the tube (in mm) or according to the wattage.
2. The second type of installation is as a top assembly or hanging installation. Here the maximum aquarium width is decisive. Please refer to the relevant column. For this type of installation, always choose the larger of the two options for optimal illumination.

What happens if my LED light falls into the water?

The IP67 protection class ensures that you can even use the LED with closed covers and high humidity without damaging the luminaire. However, it must never be operated directly under water.
Its protection class states that the luminaire is dustproof and protected during a temporary submersion. However, this does not mean that the LED may be operated submerged! You will also find a note on this in the manual. Should the LED accidentally fall into the water and be submerged, the IP67 protection class will serve as a protection for your personal safety against electrical accidents. In such cases, please unplug all the mains plugs first - do not reach for the LED immediately - and only then remove the device.
As long as the LED light is on, there is no problem with moisture under water. The resulting heat provides additional protection. If the lighting is switched off and cooled down, condensation can still form on the inside, as if glasses were fogging up. Please therefore install the LED light at a distance of at least 15mm from the highest water level. After an accidental submersion, you will need to have your LED inspected by the JBL Customer Service Team at the factory.

Can I combine two LED SOLAR EFFECT units with one LED SOLAR NATUR?

Unfortunately this is not possible. The LED SOLAR EFFECT is connected to the driver (power supply) of the LED SOLAR NATUR via the included cable switch. Thus, all the slots are already occupied. You’ll need another driver for this. You can connect one NATURE and one EFFECT to one driver. Two LED SOLAR EFFECT units on one driver are not possible due to the connectors and the maximum power consumption of the power supply.

This Thread stainless steel rope looks so good over an open top tank. I am a big fan of hanging lights and open top tanks so i really believe that this is the way to go, if you are searching for stylish and minimal look , aquarium lighting.

Ganz klar 5 Sterne Wert.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).
