The JBL PROTEMP CoolControl is a small and very practical device for regulating JBL Coolers (both the older and the new Generation 2). The plug coming from the power supply unit is not plugged into the cooler, but into the CoolControl, and only from there is the cooler supplied with power. A maximum temperature can now be selected on the CoolControl in automatic mode. If this is exceeded (the device has a temperature sensor that is to be fixed in the aquarium water), it switches the cooler on until the temperature falls below the set maximum temperature. Then it switches the fan off. In this way, it can control the water temperature by automatically switching it on and off. The CoolControl can also be switched on or off manually.
