Product information

Especially designed for reptiles and terrarium animals
Terrarium animals’ and reptiles’ tastes are very different. The right choice of food contributes to the well-being of the terrarium dwellers. Fresh high-value products, such as feeder animals and feeder insects, are part of a balanced diet, suited to their species. Growing juveniles need a lot more vitamins than adult animals. Terravit ensures an ideal supply of vitamins and trace elements for the animals.

Easy to use
Just pour TerraVit fluid on the food or into the drinking or bathing container.

Dosing
The right dosage depends on the diversity of the animals and their feeding patterns. Rule of thumb: approx. 10 – 20 drops per 100 g food, 10 – 20 drops per 100 ml drinking water, 2 – 5 drops per 10 l terrarium water.

FAQ
How many drops are 1 ml ?

One drop TerraVit fluid contains about 0.04 ml liquid. Thus 25 drops are 1ml.

How long does the food keep after opening?

Please ensure you buy a packaging size suitable for your aquarium/terrarium/pond so that the quantity contained is used up within 4 months. Compare it with a tin of biscuits lying around for several months. When properly stored they are not necessarily soggy, but they are not quite as tasty as when the packet was opened. Therefore it is not advisable to use the food after this time.

The repeated opening and closing of the packaging brings the food into contact with bacteria and humidity over a longer storage period. Thus the quality of the premium food reduces continuously and this influences the vitamin content and the freshness of the food. For the benefit of your animals you always should feed them fresh food.

Find out more

There’s more to fertilization than you’d think Part 2

Simply put, Liebig’s Law of the Minimum states that the growth of plants is limited by the scarcest resource. Adding a nutrient which already exists in abundance does not influence the growth.

Fertilization is not just fertilization Part 1

Unlike in natural waters, aquariums with fish mostly have a surplus of nutrients caused by feeding and the resulting fish excrement. Thus nitrates and phosphates in large (often too large!) quantities are available for the plants.
