  • Why do the CO2 bubbles not dissipate after a new installation or cleaning?

After a new installation, the bubbles will only flow slowly through the reactor and will partially combine to form large bubbles. The device requires a running-in period of approx. 48 hours! Only then will a biofilm have formed on the surface of the device, allowing the bubbles to pass through to the top without any problems. After the running-in period, set the bubble rate required for your aquarium.

  • Can JBL AquaDur plus be used together with JBL pH-Minus?

It is not advisable to use both products together. JBL pH-Minus counteracts some of the water stabilising properties of JBL AquaDur plus.

  • Can JBL Clynol, JBL Acclimol, and JBL pH-Minus be used in shrimp tanks?

In principle, all three water conditioners mentioned can be used in shrimp tanks. However, when using JBL pH-Minus, it is important to note that this should only be done in conjunction with the carbonate hardness. It is best to prepare the replacement water with JBL pH-Minus and determine the carbonate hardness, which should not be below 3-4. JBL Acclimol is shrimp-friendly, but is designed more for fish. JBL Clynol is beneficial for shrimp, but JBL Biotopol C should also be used as a water conditioner specifically for shrimp.

  • Why doesn't the thermometer stick to the window?

Please clean the glass thoroughly before installing the thermometer. Algae, biofilms, and limescale can prevent it from sticking properly. If the thermometer still does not stick, there may be a problem with the suction cup itself. Due to a material defect, some suction cups have bubble-like growths that prevent them from sticking properly. If you have one of these suction cups, please contact our customer service with a photo.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event outside the context of a website, such as a new blog post, a competition or a voucher.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).
