  • Why don't the planarians crawl into the trap?

Planarians are also picky eaters. Therefore, find out what the flatworms like best and use this food as bait in the trap. We have had good results with NovoTab and PlanktonPur.

  • Is the trap also suitable for catching bristle worms?

No, because bristle worms are much thicker than the thin tube and cannot contract as strongly.

  • Why can't the trap be laid flat on the floor?

There is a thin tube at the entrance to the trap. To ensure that the planarians from the substrate can reach the attractant in the trap, the entrance must be in contact with the ground. The suction cup provided can be used directly or with the thread for this purpose. If the tube is positioned at a 45° angle to the ground, like a small ramp, the flatworms can easily enter the trap. Another option is to bury the trap so that the thin tube just touches the ground.

  • Does the trap need to be filled with water?

Yes, before closing the trap with the white lid and filling it with food, it must be completely filled with water so that it sinks and the food attracts the planarians.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event outside the context of a website, such as a new blog post, a competition or a voucher.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).
