  • How long can the soil lower the pH value in the aquarium?

It is not possible to make a general statement about the maximum duration of the pH-lowering effect of a soil. The softening and pH-lowering effect depends, among other things, on: a) the amount of soil in relation to the volume of water, b) the initial water values, in particular the carbonate hardness, c) the frequency and extent of water changes carried out.

  • Can the LED SOLAR NATUR and EFFECT be different lengths?

No, that is not possible. The JBL LED DRIVER that you received with your daylight LED is designed for the output of the NATUR + of the same length as the EFFECT. A longer JBL LED SOLAR EFFECT would not be adequately supplied by the power supply due to the higher output.

  • Can soil be used as a filter medium for a bottom filter in an aquarium?

JBL PROSCAPE SOIL varieties are small pellets made from fired clay. JBL PROSCAPE PLANT SOIL also contains added nutrients, which is why using it as a soil filter causes a strong flow through the soil and thus a strong leaching of nutrients from the soil. This provides a larger amount than the plants usually need, resulting in a surplus. The service life is greatly reduced. The bigger problem is the durability of the firing when used as a filter medium for the soil filter. The pellets are subject to greater wear and tear due to friction and flow. This constant abrasion creates a kind of sludge that rapidly reduces the filter performance. Classic soil types that allow sufficient water flow are suitable for this type of filtration.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event outside the context of a website, such as a new blog post, a competition or a voucher.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).
