  • JBL ProTemp b10-60: What is the minimum grain size of the substrate required to prevent heat accumulation in conjunction with the floor heating cable?

A ground floodlight/ground heating cable is not recommended for sand. Use is recommended for gravel sizes of 1.5 mm and above.

  • Can JBL Manado be used with an additional bottom heating cable, or is there a risk of overheating?

There is no risk of the substrate overheating as long as the floor heating cable has been laid correctly with spacers and does not lie directly on the glass pane.

  • Can I use the nutrient powder if I have installed an underfloor heating cable?

Yes, Volcano Powder can be used despite a bottom heating cable, as it is only applied thinly and does not completely cover the cable. The substrate above should be porous and coarse enough to allow water to circulate.

  • Why is the heating cable not getting warm?

The floor heating cables of the JBL ProTemp b floor heating systems heat via radiant heat. If you lay these cables openly on a table, you will not be able to detect any warming by measuring the temperature. Only when the cables are installed under a layer of substrate will the substrate begin to warm up.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event outside the context of a website, such as a new blog post, a competition or a voucher.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).
