  • Tormec does not lower the pH value of the water.

Due to the increase in Tormec's range last year as a result of the ammonium problem, it is now possible that the desired reduction in pH value by Tormec may not occur or may be delayed in medium-hard to hard water. The dosage of Tormec can only be increased in steps in this case. The problem of released ammonium has absolute priority

  • JBL Tormec: Do peat products increase the phosphate content in my aquarium?

Peat is a natural product consisting of plant components (peat moss, other bog plants) that are deposited in raised bogs. Under the conditions there, these components are not completely mineralized, resulting in peat. Like all organisms, plants contain phosphorus, which all organisms need for energy metabolism. It is therefore normal for peat products to contain phosphorus in the form of phosphates. The release of the phosphate bound in the plants only begins when the peat is further mineralized under aerobic conditions

  • Can JBL Tormec granules really be left in the filter for 3-6 months as described on the packaging?

Yes, JBL Tormec can be left in the filter for as long as you like, as its pellet structure prolongs its effectiveness (smaller surface area and therefore slower water exchange within the pellet). However, you should bear in mind that the exchange capacity will decrease over time.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event outside the context of a website, such as a new blog post, a competition or a voucher.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).
