The ceramic diffusion membrane for fine microbubbles can become clogged over time due to algae growth, mulm deposits or, in isolated cases, lime, causing the bubbles to become larger. In this case, please place the JBL Taifun P in JBL PROCLEAN AQUA for a few hours.
The Taifun P requires pressure to force the carbon dioxide through the fine membrane. The pressure generated in the reaction bottle of the JBL bio80 and JBL bio160 is sufficient to operate the aerator. If no fine bubbles are coming out of the Taifun P, this may be due to the following reasons: 1) The fermentation of the microorganisms is not working (see solutions in the FAQ on JBL bioRefill). 2) There is a leak in the system where the pressure can escape. This could be: 2a) The lid of the reaction container is not screwed onto the bottle properly. Solution: Clean the sealing ring in the lid, replace if necessary. 2b) The connections of the JBL T3 CO₂ hose at the connection points to the bottle and to the JBL SafeStop are not tight. Solution: The hoses must be pushed completely onto the connectors; if used frequently, it is recommended to shorten the hose by about 1 cm
