After sticking it to the aquarium glass, the JBL Aquarium Thermometer Digital needs a few minutes to acclimatize. The same applies in the event of significant temperature changes. All fields are black. The ambient temperature determines the color of the scale marks. The top clear color, for example green/blue, is the current temperature. The areas above remain black, and the scale points that have already been exceeded turn black again.
When stuck directly onto the aquarium glass, the adhesive thermometer (JBL Aquarium Thermometer Digital) reacts with a slight delay. Float glass transmits up to approx. 85% of the heat. Therefore, the thermometer needs a few minutes to react to the temperature after it has been attached. Even after a significant water change, fluctuations are displayed with a slight delay, within the range of the available scale.
