When should a water conditioner be added to the pond?
A water conditioner (such as JBL BiotoPond) should always be added to the pond before or directly with the addition of fresh water. This ensures that heavy metals and chlorine can be bound directly and do not harm the fish. The components float in the water and wait for potentially harmful compounds, to which they bind directly. Adding them later can be fatal for your fish, as the contact time with the aggressive substances is too long.
