Can I add shrimp to my NanoCube after using JBL AquaSil?
The acetic acid released reacts with water to form acetates, which do not cause any problems for animals. However, they are broken down by bacteria in the water as an organic source, which can lead to slight bacterial blooms and a associated reduction in oxygen content. However, the decisive factor here is the ratio between the acetates released and the volume of water. In a NanoCube, I would therefore be a little more cautious with the stocking at the beginning. You can prevent this effect by changing 50% of the water every day for a period of about one week. This will ensure sufficient dilution.

Why does JBL AquaSil not stick to the background after drying?
The bond will remain intact as long as the best-before date has not expired. In such cases, it is helpful to clean the areas to be bonded beforehand, for example with acetone.

At what temperature should AquaSil be processed?
We recommend processing at room temperature. The possible processing range is between +5 °C and +40 °C. Processing below +5 °C is not possible.
