  • The working pressure on the pressure gauge does not change

    When you adjust the working pressure, the CO2 addition needs to be running actively, otherwise the change will not be immediately visible in the event of a reduction. An increase is also visible without running CO2, but not immediately. That’s why you need to ensure that CO2 is added during the adjustment process for every reduction or increase.

  • Do the new JBL CO2 cylinders comply with the small quantity regulation (LQ = Limited Quantity) according to ADR?

    Yes, the new JBL PROFLORA CYLINDER 500 U and 500 M are covered by the special regulation for dangerous goods in limited quantities. This allows the compressed gas cylinders to be shipped under eased conditions in accordance with the legislation on hazardous goods, for a filling service or delivery by parcel service.

  • What is the minimum working pressure I need to use the JBL CO2 accessories?

    All check valves or backflow protectíons from JBL require a working pressure of at least 0.6 bar for the valve to open. This feature can be found in the JBL PROFLORA CO2 TAIFUN SAFESTOP, COUNTSAFE and INLINE. The JBL PROFLORA TAIFUN diffusers also all already work with this pressure. A higher working pressure is not necessary, which is why all accessories also work with the JBL PROFLORA BIO SETs (except JBL PROFLORA CO2 STARTER BIO SET). Due to installation, a slightly higher working pressure than 0.6 bar may be necessary due to long hoses and other components, which is why the presetting of 1.2 bar is sufficient in any case.

  • Pressure reducer for disposable and reusable cylinders at the same time?

    Yes, this is possible without any problems with the JBL PROFLORA CO2 REGULATOR. If you have the SET U, you can connect reusable cylinders with the JBL PROFLORA CO2 ADAPT U - M adapter. This adapter is already installed in the SET M and can be removed with an Allen key. This makes it possible to install JBL CO2 disposable cylinders in the sizes 500g and 1200g. An ideal option for bridging the gap between bottle filling or during the holiday phase for your substitute carer._x000D_

  • How is the working pressure set for the JBL PROFLORA CO2 REGULATOR ADVANCED and PROFESSIONAL pressure reducers?

    When using disposable cylinders, the adjustment knob for the working pressure is also the valve for opening your CO2 cylinder. When using refillable cylinders, you have an additional cylinder valve, open this first. The cylinder pressure now shows you a pressure of approx. 60 bar. This means that the cylinder is sufficiently filled and you can continue with the next steps. _x000D_ Now turn the adjustment knob for the working pressure, the large screw knob between the two pressure gauges, and observe the right-hand pressure gauge for the working pressure. The green range up to 1.2 bar is marked. Open it so far that the desired working pressure is reached. The adjustment of the screw allows the opening up to approx. 1.2 bar. _x000D_ If you are using a solenoid valve, now establish the power supply so that the CO2 can pass. As a last step, open the needle valve to adjust the amount of CO2 (bubble count) and set a bubble count of approximately 10 - 15 bubbles on the bubble counter. After the run-in period of 24 hours, set the number of bubbles required for your aquarium.

  • The pressure reducer cannot be removed

    Your system is probably still under pressure. Close the cylinder valve and remove the CO2 hose from the pressure regulator fitting. Open the regulating screw and release the pressure still present in the pressure regulator until both pressure gauges show 0 bar. Loosen the connecting nut of the pressure regulator fitting from the cylinder valve.

  • Is 1.2 bar working pressure sufficient for my CO2 system?

    For a long time JBL CO2 pressure reducers had a preset working pressure of 1.5 bar. This has become established in people's minds. With the new JBL PROFLORA CO2 pressure reducers with pressure gauges, the working pressure is set to 0 bar on delivery. You admit CO2 via the large adjustment knob for the working pressure and turn it until the desired working pressure is reached. Approx. 1.2 bar is the maximum setting here. A minimum of 0.6 bar is required for the operation of all JBL non-return valves or backflow protections. This ensures that the check valve opens. A higher working pressure is not necessary, which is why all the accessories also work with the JBL PROFLORA BIO SETs. A lot of CO2 accessories available on the market give very different specifications for the working pressure. To be on the safe side, the standard of 1.5 bar which is common on the market is mentioned. As a rule, the working pressure required is the same as that on which the JBL PROFLORA CO2 accessories are based. Only a few exceptions require a working pressure of over 2 bar and are very special technical components.

  • Is a tool needed to adjust the CO2 quantity?

    No, a tool should never be used. The use of a tool can lead to damage. There is a thin spike at the tip of the needle valve. If the needle valve is closed clockwise and turned too tightly or with a tool, it may break off and damage the pressure regulator._x000D_ _x000D_

  • Do you need a tool to assemble the pressure reducer?

    No, a tool is not required and should not be used under any circumstances. The use of a tool can lead to damage. You can mount the pressure reducer on the CO2 cylinder with your hands. Turn only until you feel resistance and then turn about half a turn more. This way the pressure regulator fitting is hand-tight. A short hissing sound will be heard when attaching the fitting to disposable cylinders.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event outside the context of a website, such as a new blog post, a competition or a voucher.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.
