New JBL Products At The Interzoo 2018 - Part 1

The world's leading trade fair Interzoo opened its doors in Nuremberg yesterday and until Friday visiting professionals from all over the world are invited to witness new product presentations from every animal field. All the leading pet companies exhibit their new and advanced versions of products here and network with industry experts. It’s a huge meet up for the pet field and it’s where trends for the next two years are set.

JBL’s entire sales and key account team is there too, to represent us internationally and demonstrate our product innovations to customers and other interested visitors at our large, open booth.

This series of posts aims to present a new product or a new product range to you every day, and to give you some first impressions and facts about them. All of these new items will be available from your local specialist retailer within the next few weeks or months. You will find more information and further details by following the links to the corresponding product site.

JBL LED SOLAR

What’s new about LED? A lot! And that’s why we needed some time before we could launch this concept. The high-performance LED light with the SOLAR full spectrum supplies exactly the light aquarium plants need for healthy growth in freshwater aquariums. Instead of just focusing on wattage and lumen specification, we have also considered the radiation scope that plants are able to “eat” and to use. Brightness and luminosity alone do not determine this, nor do they promote healthy growth. More important is the photosynthetically active radiation range of the light. The high photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) of over 200 µM/s/m2 of the JBL SOLAR LED NATUR comprises all spectral ranges of the visible light spectrum.

New product 1: JBL SOLAR LED NATUR

This LED light can easily be integrated into existing covers with fluorescent lamp holders and be operated with the help of a remote control unit. The warm white and cool white LEDs are evenly distributed over the whole length and offer a biotope-compatible light climate whose two channels can be set to 3 pre-adjusted light colours: 2700 K (warm white), 4000 K (daylight white), 6700 K (cool white) by means of a remote control. In addition holding brackets for top assembly and end caps for installation in T5 and T8 sockets are enclosed. And don’t worry! If the LED light falls into the water, it is protected by the IP67 splash water protection and remains undamaged. One SOLAR LED NATUR replaces two conventional T5 or T8 tubes of the same length.

New product 2: JBL SOLAR LED EFFECT

This light with RGB LEDs is dedicated for the creation of colour effects and can easily be connected using the cable switch supplied to an existing JBL LED SOLAR NATUR. It is then operated by means of its remote control. This enables more dramatic simulations of sunrise and sunset colours, as well as weather situations like lightning storms or rainy season. The RGB LEDs installed can create red, green and blue, as well as all mixed colours and are dimmable in 7 steps. Mounting can be carried out, as with the JBL SOLAR LED NATUR, with the end caps in the T5 and T8 tube sockets or as top assembly with the holding brackets.

New product 3: JBL LED SOLAR Control WiFi

You may well have wondered what is special about this LED concept. After all a simple operation by app with the WiFi controller is nothing revolutionary. The JBL SOLAR LED NATUR and EFFECT can be adapted to suit your individual wishes using the WiFi controller, or you can select one of the 5 preset programmes (biotope South America & Africa, aquascaping plants, goldfish, community aquarium and acclimatisation mode for the adaption to LED light), which were created by the JBL research department with the aid of the JBL expeditions and data. For this purpose the biotope data (incl. dry and wet seasons) were taken into account and natural effects, such as lightning storm, sunrise and sunset, were integrated.

New product 4: JBL LED SOLAR Hanging

Don’t feel like installing the JBL SOLAR NATUR or EFFECT onto the tube socket or as a top assembly on the tank rim? With the rope hanging fixture for JBL LED SOLAR lights you can hang the visually appealing LED lights from the ceiling to enhance the look of the open aquarium and emphasise the “curling effects” in the water.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.

JBL GmbH & Co. KG provides this service free of charge, and it is easy to activate or deactivate.
