Reptilium Landau - Terrarium and Desert Zoo

The next stop on the roadshow brought the online marketing team to Germany's largest terrarium zoo - the Landau Reptilium. I bet everyone in the area’s been there several times to see the great variety of species that the zoo has to offer. The 3400 m² area allows you to dive into the fascinating world of reptiles and amphibians - almost literally - because some of the terrariums permit underwater views.

The reptile house has the animals' well-being as its top priority. The terrariums are spacious and species-appropriate, so that the inhabitants feel right at home. The Reptilium also has its own breeding station where young animals are cared for before being rehomed in the terrariums.

As soon as you enter the indoor zoo, you notice its high humidity and cosy temperatures between 25-30 degrees. Different species of snakes, spiders, turtles, frogs and lizards can be admired in the indoor zoo. Even crocodiles, meerkats and white-tufted marmosets are lovingly cared for in the Reptilium. For an even closer animal experience, the Reptilium team offers hourly demonstration feedings and animal presentations, where visitors also get the chance to run a tarantula over their hand or even feed one of the animals.

In addition to the indoor area, there is an outdoor area with raccoons romping around where you can cool off a bit. The Reptilium also has a restaurant with delicious dishes for young and old, which the online marketing team of course tested for you. ;)

And if one day at Germany's largest reptile zoo isn't enough, you can spend the night in the Reptilium itself (see picture) or in the outdoor area in Tiny Houses.

The Reptilium Landau has some really spectacular attractions and a visit is definitely worth your while. If you’re thinking of visiting, then take a look at their website! Even it’s too far away, the website is worth visiting for a virtual trip to the reptile zoo!

And if you want to know what the online marketing team did at the Reptilium, stay tuned!
