Centre Scientifique de Monaco (Department of Marine Biology) celebrates 12 years of cooperation with JBL

JBL's research department has been working with the Centre Scientifique de Monaco for exactly 12 years. In the aquariums of the Monaco Research Centre, they not only carry out basic marine biology research, e.g. on the biomineralisation of tropical corals, but also study highly topical environmental problems such as ocean acidification or the chemical pollution of coral reefs. They are planning experiments on how to illuminate demanding coral species with JBL LED lamps, which do not work with extremely high Kelvin values, but simulate the natural sunlight above the reef top at shallow depths very well. And that's where about 98 % of all corals for aquaristics come from!

The scientists at the Marine Centre enjoy working with JBL products and use them frequently for temperature control, feeding and maintenance of the dozens of research aquariums. JBL is proud to work so closely with the world-famous Marine Research Centre. Here's to the next 12 years!
