Autumn has only one thing in common with spring and it’s the water temperature! The koi have completely different demands on their food AFTER hibernation in spring and BEFORE hibernation in autumn. This is why JBL offers two different types of food, although the water temperature is actually the same.

Unlike in spring, autumn feed has to sink, as the animals start to come to the surface less. It’s not good if the food forces them up. Furthermore, the food’s composition needs to build up their energy reserves for the less bountiful winter period. Therefore, JBL PROPOND AUTUMN M has a high fat content of 10 % with 28 % protein! The low crude fibre content of 2 % facilitates digestibility, even when the water gets really cold. The high vitamin content increases their resilience and reduces their susceptibility to diseases such as spring viraemia, which is usually triggered in spring by the weakened organism of the pond fish.
