Join the JBL expedition to Papua New Guinea

The last white spots on our planet are in Papua New Guinea - and that's exactly where JBL Expedition No. 21 will take us in May-June 2027. Ten nights in a beautiful resort at the end of the world, on the edge of untouched jungle and by the sea with intact coral reefs. Endemic animal species, rare sea creatures and original indigenous people without mobile phones. Come along and experience adventure with live aquaristic and terraristic research.

To break up the long outward flight to Papua, there is an optional stopover in Singapore. There we visit friends who are Arowana and Flowerhead breeders in the surrounding area. We then continue to Port Moresby, the capital of Papua, and then take small planes to a small airstrip at the resort on the north-eastern tip of Papua. The participants are divided into a snorkelling group, a beginner diver group and an experienced diver group. Each group visits all the sites, but at different times. In addition to the world's best coral reefs, there is another superlative: muck diving to the small and bizarre sea creatures that can be found there in the largest numbers in the world. Together with the indigenous people, participants search for animals on land and in fresh water. Those who spend the night with the indigenous people can also search the river in the dark for crabs that are certainly unknown. An insight into the life of the friendly indigenous people is of course also part of the programme. All flights, meals, accommodation and activities cost €4,900 - a special price thanks to friendly links with the resort. Scuba divers pay an additional €500. If you would like to make stops in Singapore on the outward and return journey, you can expect to pay an additional €300. However, it is also possible to take a direct connecting flight.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event outside the context of a website, such as a new blog post, a competition or a voucher.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).
