FAQ
What grain size does JBL Manado have?

The grain size is 0.5-2 mm.

Why does foam form on the water surface after I add JBL Manado?

Even if remote diagnoses are extremely difficult here, the formation of foam on the water surface is an indication of too many organic components, particularly protein, which foams as a result of the water agitation. This would have to be confirmed by taking samples, though. As JBL manado is free of organic substances, one can be quite sure that it is not the cause of the foam.

Why does the TH (total hardness) go up after I have added JBL Manado?

Should the TH still remain too high despite several water changes, this is an indication that JBL Manado hasn’t been cleaned thoroughly enough. Please carry out a daily water change of at least 70% for about 4-5 days. The cleansing process should then be complete.

Can JBL Manado be used with a substrate heating cable additionally, or would that lead to overheating?

I don't see a risk of overheating as long as the substrate heating cable is installed properly with the spacers and is not placed directly on the glass pane.

Is it necessary to add an additional nutrient substrate such as JBL AquaBasis under JBL Manado, or do JBL Manado’s properties enable it to do without?

JBL Manado itself doesn’t contain any fertilizer. JBL Manado is, however, able to absorb nutrients (especially trace elements) to supply to the plant roots.

For a good plant growth it is advisable to use JBL AquaBasis plus underneath JBL Manado.

I love this product and my aquatic plants and shrimps love it. Best plant care through porous structure and nutrient storage function. It's natural substrate which activates the soil flora and is ideal for best aquatic plant care. It prevents algae and easily settlement of beneficial soil bacteria and which is ideal for healthy root growth. Thanks to natural pore structure. Also which good support for the filter. Crystal-clear water always with it which is ideal for fish, invertebrates and plants. no unwanted pollutants released into the water. Round-shaped granule grains are best and perfect for bottom-dwellers like oto, corydora, pleco and shrimps. Natural substrate absorbs the surplus nutrients and releases them when required which keep plants healthy and lush. I highly recommend this product.

Pro tip:- Rinse briefly before use with tap water to remove any abrasion caused in transit. Gently wash it.

Pflanzenwachstum muss man ab warten.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).
