JBL PROCLEAN AQUA IN-OUT COMPLETE
Complete water changing kit including gravel cleaner and suction pump for aquariums, to be connected to the water tap

  • Super practical complete set for partial water changes with substrate cleaning in aquariums of 30-70 cm height, with water jet pump for the tap

  • Contains: 1 complete water changing set incl. 8 m hose (12/16), gravel cleaner 27-46 cm long, thread adapter for 3/4’’ to 22 x 1; 24 x 1; 28 x 1, 2 hose fixing clips, 1 water jet pump

Product information

Regular water changes
Food, plant remains and metabolic products pollute the aquarium water. Since aquarium filters can’t completely remove these substances from the water and a large part of the waste enters the aquarium bottom, a regular partial water change (about every 2 weeks 1/3 of the water content) needs to be carried out. Always siphon off the waste from the substrate when carrying out a partial water change. After the partial water change a good water conditioner such as JBL Biotopol is vital to render the new tap water suitable for fish.

Easy to install
Connect the water jet pump to the water tap. Connect the long hose to the water jet pump and the other end to the gravel cleaner. Hang the gravel cleaner inside the aquarium. Set the stopcock on the water jet pump to flow. Completely turn on the tap. The aquarium water will be sucked in by the water flowing past. While the water is being sucked in, clean the bottom of the aquarium with the gravel cleaner. To refill the aquarium, close the stopcock on the water jet pump and let fresh water flow into the aquarium.

If the 8 m hose is not enough, there is an extension set (JBL PROCLEAN AQUA IN-OUT Extension Set).

How to clean the aquarium bottom properly:
Push the gravel cleaner into the aquarium substrate with a twisting movement. The suction will pull the substrate and the dirt upwards into the gravel cleaner. The substrate will then fall back down under its own weight and only the dirt will be sucked out of the aquarium. With fine sand, you can adjust the suction by lifting the gravel cleaner so that the light sand also falls back down.
If you have a long-term substrate fertiliser underneath the covering gravel layer (e.g. JBL PROFLORA AQUA BASIS), do not insert the gravel cleaner far. Insert it only as deeply as the covering substrate layer is thick.

FAQ
What happens if the aquarium is higher than the water jet pump installed?

To pump the water out of the aquarium, a suction effect is required for the JBL PROCLEAN AQUA IN-OUT COMPLETE to function correctly. As soon as the suction hose has been filled with water through the tap, the tap can be turned off. If the aquarium is higher than the water jet pump, you’ll need to continue running the tap water to generate and maintain the suction. This will require a ratio of approximately 1:2 (aquarium water : tap water). This means that small height differences of up to one metre can be overcome without any problems. For this reason, it is important that the drain and the aquarium are on the same floor.
The generation of the suction effect depends on further factors: water pressure of the pipe, hose length, height difference and any clogging in the flow caused by leaves or snails in the protective strainers.

JBL Aqua In-Out: The adapters that come with it don't fit on the faucet in the kitchen or the one in the bathroom. Neither do they fit on the bathtub faucet. Where can I get the right adapters?

Unfortunately, I can't provide information on where you can find a suitable adapter in your area. All I can recommend is trying a conventional bathroom fittings shop.

JBL Aqua In-Out stopcock: Sometimes there is no suction at the drain. What might be the cause?

It is impossible to determine why there is too little suction in a specific case by remote diagnosis. Factors such as the water pressure of the water mains, length of hose and whether there are any clogs in the system my be involved.

The suction is needed

a) when the Aqua In-Out is started up
b) permanently when the drain is higher than the water level in the tank.

Why does the hose always pop off at the coupling?

Have you made sure that the hose was positioned securely in the guide (between the connector and the "flexible knobs") at the coupling when the hose was installed? This is important because pressure is exerted on the hose when the coupling piece is screwed fast so that it can no longer come off.

This pro clean aqua in-out is the best one on the market at the moment. I have been using this set for the past 18 months and the quality is remarkable. The price of the set is higher because it offers a variety of connection pieces. This means that whatever diameter you have in your sink or water tab, there is a connection piece inside the set.

You simply connect the valve on your water tab and connect the hose to your aquarium. You then have the option to push water first into the sink to match the right temperature. When you have your match you switcht the valve and the water will flow into your aquarium.

Great product and definitely worth a buy!

Magie!

One of the most important "tools" to aquaristics. I'm using this for more than 3 years to make waterchanges of all of my tanks (12 currently) really it's a game changer and spares a ton of time.

No more buckets when comes to the water changes. A must have

Polecam :D
