JBL PROCLEAN AQUA IN-OUT water jet pump
Suction pump, connected to tap, for convenient water changes in the aquarium

  • The pump, which is screwed to the tap, creates suction from the flowing tap water so that water can be drawn out of the aquarium through a hose. After moving a lever, it can be filled again
  • Screw the water jet pump onto the water tap, connect the hose, open the water tap and move the lever position to select whether water is to be siphoned off or refilled
  • The water jet pump is an element of the JBL PROCLEAN AQUA IN-OUT water changing set, but can also be purchased separately
  • The water jet pump has a 3/4'' threaded connection. It needs to be attached to the tap thread (mostly M28x1; M22x1; M24x1) by means of an adapter (not included)
  • Package contents: 1 complete water jet pump (3/4'' connection) with stopcock incl. seal ring, movable hose connection (12/16) with hose locking nut

Product information

Easy to install
Connect the water jet pump to the water tap. Connect the long hose to the water jet pump and the other end to the gravel cleaner. Hang the gravel cleaner inside the aquarium. Set the stopcock on the water jet pump to flow. Completely turn on the tap. The aquarium water will be sucked in by the water flowing past. While the water is being sucked in, clean the bottom of the aquarium with the gravel cleaner. To refill the aquarium, close the stopcock on the water jet pump and let fresh water flow into the aquarium.

The water jet pump is a component of the water changing set JBL PROCLEAN AQUA IN-OUT, but can also be purchased separately. It then needs to be attached to the tap thread using a thread adapter (not included). Next a hose (12/16) is needed which leads from the water jet pump to the aquarium and a gravel cleaner (substrate cleaner) is attached to its end.

Regular partial water change
Food remains, plant remains and other metabolic products pollute the aquarium water. Since aquarium filters can’t completely remove these substances from the water and a large part of the waste enters the aquarium bottom, a regular partial water change (about 1/3 of the water content) needs to be carried out every 2 weeks. Always siphon off the waste from the substrate when carrying out a partial water change. After the partial water change a good water conditioner such as JBL Biotopol is vital to prepare the new tap water for fish.

FAQ
JBL Aqua In-Out: The adapters that come with it don't fit on the faucet in the kitchen or the one in the bathroom. Neither do they fit on the bathtub faucet. Where can I get the right adapters?

Unfortunately, I can't provide information on where you can find a suitable adapter in your area. All I can recommend is trying a conventional bathroom fittings shop.

JBL Aqua In-Out stopcock: Sometimes there is no suction at the drain. What might be the cause?

It is impossible to determine why there is too little suction in a specific case by remote diagnosis. Factors such as the water pressure of the water mains, length of hose and whether there are any clogs in the system my be involved.

The suction is needed

a) when the Aqua In-Out is started up
b) permanently when the drain is higher than the water level in the tank.

PUSH messages from JBL

What are PUSH messages? As part of the W3C standard, web notifications define an API for end-user notifications that are sent to the user's desktop and/or mobile devices via the browser. Notifications appear on the end devices as they are familiar to the end user from apps installed on the device (e.g. emails). Notifications appear on the end user’s device, just like an app (e.g. for emails) installed on the device.

These notifications enable a website operator to contact its users whenever they have a browser open - it doesn’t matter whether the user is currently visiting the website or not.

To be able to send web push notifications, all you need is a website with a web push code installed. This allows brands without apps to take advantage of many of the benefits of push notifications (personalised real-time communications at just the right moment).

Web notifications are part of the W3C standard and define an API for end user notifications. A notification makes it possible to inform the user about an event, such as a new blog post, outside the context of a website.

JBL GmbH & Co. KG provides this service free of charge, and it is easy to activate or deactivate.
