JBL Ektol bac: A new medication against bacterial infections

With JBL Ektol bac Plus 250 the JBL Research Team has developed a new drug against bacterial diseases in aquarium fish in fresh water. After the use of antibiotics and antibiotic-like ingredients such as nifurpirinol was prohibited in aquatics, JBL developed a new remedy which is highly effective against bacteria without the drawback of causing resistances like antibiotics do.

This is a very potent two-component system (per 100 ml, effective for 800 l). Iodine has been known in medicine for a long time, and its effectiveness against bacteria (bactericidal), fungi (fungicidal) and viruses (virucidal) has been proven for a long time as well.

The new JBL remedy is also available as JBL Ektol bac Pond Plus or pond fish. JBL Ektol bac/JBL Ektol bac Pond is effective against bacteria of the strains, Aeromonas, Pseudomonas, Columnaris, Flexibacter and others. It is also effective against ulcerous, red boils and crater-like indentations, wounds, “nibbled“ fins, swellings etc..
