Frau Fischer, a student at the University of Rostock, needed a JBL AquaCristal UV-C 5 W for her master ‘s thesis. It was required to disinfect a radial fatigue test bench. Until then chemical additives had been used.
What is tested there?
The resistance of stent coatings (medical implant / vessel support).
Why use a UV-C clarifier?
By using the AquaCristal UV-C bacterial growth can now be prevented. In future it will replace the chemical additives which had previously been used as an antimicrobial measure.

For the JBL team it is always great to see that we are providing solutions for a range of different problems. We certainly think the subject of this master’s thesis is very interesting and we wish Frau Fischer all the best for her project.
