We are there! – Arrival in the hotel

Finally here! After about 24 hours of travel, we have arrived in our hotel in Bao Dai in Nha Trang. The hotel is on the outskirts near the ocean. A magnificent view. After all of the participants had checked in, been given their money, credit cards, etc. and mobile phones and moved into their rooms with their team partner, showering was definitely the next item on the agenda after unpacking. Water pressure meant playing with hot and cold drops of water. But no worry, we will be getting plenty wet in the upcoming days.

Now, we will use the free time we have available and explore the immediate vicinity. All of the participants will be getting together for the first time in the restaurant at 8:30 PM. A real meal! This will be followed by a group leader meeting at 10 PM to discuss the following day and find out about changes and new developments.

Many of the participants took advantage of the opportunity to go snorkelling and refresh in the ocean. Here, we were already able to discover some stony corals. Acroporas, Galaxea and many more. We were also able to find crabs, sea cucumbers sea urchins and starfish in the front of the cove.

All of the participants were assigned to small groups of 8-9 persons, each of which was guided by an expert/scientist. This resulted in 8 groups with names like Anthias, Baracudas, chameleons, …
