JBL Expedition to Colombia - the details are sorted

All the details of the schedule, the biotopes, the animals, the conditions on site and the food are available to view. Dr. Wolfgang Staeck and JBL expedition leader, Heiko Blessin, went to Colombia in mid-January to plan all the details on site, as far as they can be planned. Now the itinerary and schedule are fixed. "This is going to be one of our most beautiful "freshwater expeditions" ever,” said Heiko Blessin, after returning from the rainforests of Colombia. "The landscapes and the fish living there in the clear blackwater are incredible. It’s hard to tear yourself away from it!” agreed Dr. Staeck and biologist Blessin.

The optional excursion to Caño Cristales, planned for the end, has had to be altered because the region is closed for nature conservation reasons. But the alternative will be even more exciting. The Rio Claro is a nature reserve with super clear water in a rainforest area and the participants will be able to enjoy cichlids, lots of catfish and characins there.
