Over the years, pond sludge accumulates in every pond and can even halve the water depth! Simply use a white folding ruler to check how much pond sludge has accumulated. Once added the cleansing bacteria living on the granulate in JBL SediEx Pond immediately begin to decompose organic matter, such as the leaves on the pond bottom. This decomposition process requires a lot of oxygen, which is produced by the second component (white powder). It is this interaction of bacteria and oxygen that leads to effective sludge decomposition. You can accelerate this process by mechanically removing sludge with a bucket or landing net!
