  • Creates crystal-clear water. Acts as light filter and withdraws a part of the light radiation vital for algae. Comparable to sun glasses
  • Healthy water, healthy fish: fosters good health in fish by using humic substances from peat and tannin from oak bark
  • Improves acclimatisation of all blackwater fish
  • Contents: 1 bottle Tropol. Use: 10 ml/40l water. Example for 60 l aquarium: 15 ml for setting-up, 5 ml for 1/3 water change every 2-3 weeks

  • Does JBL Tropol contain mineral acides which influence the pH level ?

    No, JBL Tropol does not contain any mineral acids. It consists of humic substance extracts to produce the blackwater effect, amongst other substances. A slight decrease in the pH level may occur, depending on the carbonate hardness. This, though, is not enough to achieve low pH levels. _x000D_ _x000D_ There is no risk of a sudden drop in acidity when using JBL Tropol.

  • Does Tropol condition my tank water the same way Biotopol does?

    More specifically, Tropol is a preparation for producing black water. Therefore, it only contains small amounts of a few of the substances commonly found in water conditioners. For this reason, we recommend combining the product with Biotopol.

  • What happens if I accidentally overdose Tropol?

    In order for the desired effect to unfold, the recommended dosage on the product must be adhered to. Larger deviations can lead to undesirable side effects. In such a case, please observe your animals, check your water values and carry out a partial water change of 50 % in case of abnormalities, so that the overdose is diluted and reduced to a normal level. When measuring the number of litres, bear in mind that your aquarium is also filled with wood and stones that displace water._x000D_
